Growing up on a farm in Kentucky never bothered my mother so much, she enjoyed the laid back lifestyle and the thrills of being the best damn pilot for 5 counties. When they called for troops to fight the war, they said she couldn't fly and tride to take her sky away.
So she cut her hair, bound her chest and practiced speaking low. She changed her name from Alice to Alex and left for Germany within the next day.
