Well my camera finally karked it. So Im now cameraless and its not much fun. So I've had to resort to my sketching again, which in itself, is not a bad thing, because I really need the practice! lol

It's all good.

I know I haven't been around for a while. Life has been pretty flat strap and art has unfortunately taken a back burner for a while.

I do want to start sketching again though. When I was packing my house I stumbled across some of the old pictures I did back when I was a teenager. To be truthful, they're quite impressive, especially for a 15 year old (as I was then!lol) But that was ten years ago. Its been a long time since I've really sketched anything since.

Maybe I should give it another go.

Its so weird being without a subcription! lol
Mine ran out today. I've been watching it tick down for months, just waiting for it to explode or something lol.

Oh well.

There are more important things in life other than subscriptions... like bills... and love, we can't forget love.

It's been a little while since I last updated my journal properly and so I figured, there would be no better time (before my subscription runs out next month!) to do a feature on some of my favorite works on DA.

Horses have always been a source of love and admiration for me. Since I was about 8, I've ridden and owned my own, until about a year ago when I moved out of home and off of the farm into town, where its just that little bit harder to keep a horse... lol and so I sold my beloved chestnut thoroughbred mare, Sascha and have to be content with dreaming about them.

Her work for some beautiful reason, brings back memories of my favorite childhood character, Thowra, the Silver Brumby. Although a little quiet lately, she's definately one to watch! Her work is simply stunning.
